The Good and the Bad

Kerwin asked to put on his jacket with the hood today because it rained for a while. We had another rainy afternoon today. Kerwin has been walking on his own a lot more recently. He walked all the way down to the room the afternoon without falling once. Here's are a couple pictures of him walking and make a pipe cleaner creation in his hood.

Today we got bad and good news. The bad was that our passport did not get printed today but Barb is confident that it will happen tomorrow. The good news is better than the bad news is bad. The good news it that all of the business with the US immigration is done (that 3-9 days we were talking about)so as soon as we have the passport tomorrow we can schedule the visa interview. So hopefully, we will be able to come home with Mike. Thanks for joining with us in prayer. Praise God for his faithfulness. And thanks also to those of you who have contacted me to let me know you are reading. What a blessing!

Hey Becky, I just wanted you to know that I have been reading your blog every and have been waiting for the great news that you, Kerwin and Mike will be home soon.
It seems like that will happen soon. I know how much relief that will mean to you to get back home!

Zack misses you very much! his new speech T is not going so well.

I enjoy reading how creative Kerwin is with those pipe cleaners!

Hi Honey,
Just a quick note as the tears run down my face because of the wonderful people who read and pray and write to lift up your spirits. Wow, people all over the world that care about my loved ones. How kind of you. Thanks you so very much!

I'm going to bed early because I will be up at 3:10 AM tomorrow getting ready to drive Mike to the airport. I found some wonderfully soft rose colored and white yarn I am sending with Mike. I hope you can use it? It is very thin but so nice and soft.

Kerwin's walking so well. What a boost to his confidence. My prayer remains that he will have improved so much, by the time that he gets here, that he will not need the painful surgery on his legs. Pray with me folks. The Lord is strengthening him daily and perhaps surgery can be avoided. It breaks my heart to think of him suffering. He has already suffered so much in his little life.

Mike will be there in less then 24 hours. I know all three of you are so excited but I am just as excited for you.

I hope you have fun together and are home very soon. I love you.
Don't worry about Max, he is in good hands.

The countdown on God's clock is right on schedule! Soon it will be "5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and outta' here!" Cannot wait to give big hugs all round and welcome you home! Praise the Lord as He makes the final arrangements.

We'll pray with the 100+ faithful at church tonight.
Love,Pam

Okay...here we (you) go! That is the best news of the day! People keep asking us for an update! Lots of people are pulling for you and praying for you. I know you have felt the prayers and the strength it has brought you all. Do we need to call the craft store and have them stock up on pipe cleaners? :>) Soon Kerwin will be into Lincoln logs or Legos. Sounds like a budding architect here.

Looking forward to giving you a big hug and meeting Kerwin for the first time!

What a journey it has been! I'm looking forward to reading the next blog saying you are finished with your Visa interview and are heading home! How wonderful!

Love to all
Karen and Don

Becky,

I've been reading all summer, ever since Andy went to see you all...when Mike came back I told him I felt like I was visiting with you all daily. :) My period 1 class has been praying for you all and we celebrated the good news this week. Praying that this will wrap up quickly. It was so good to Skype with you a couple weeks ago...can't wait to meet Kerwin in person!

Much love and prayers,
Erika
